Mohnton, PA- It was a picture perfect day for the 60 juniors that competed at LedgeRock Golf Club and this par 72/ 74 6,243/5,788/5,072 yard course challenged every aspect of their game. With elevation changes on almost every hole, this swelling golf course played much longer then the juniors expected, demanding distance off the tee or leaving long shots into the greens.

In the Men’s 17-24 division Jake Hudock (Glen Mills, PA) scored a 78 (+6), with an eagle on the par five seventh. Behind Jake taking second place was Ryan Barley (Mt. Laurel, NJ) carding an 89 (+17).

Emily Gilbert (Gilbertsville, PA), took first in the Women’s 17-24 division finishing with a 78 (+6). Gilbert had 4 birdies, two each on both the front and back. Behind Emily, Elaina McGarrigle (Wernersville, PA) carded a 108 (+36).

In the Boy’s 16-18 division, Finnian McGarry (Haddonfield, NJ) went low posting a 70 (-2). McGarry’s front nine consisted of 7 pars and 2 birdies to shoot 34 (-2). In a tight battle for second Ryan Woefling (Myerstown, PA) took home the second place prize carding a 78 (+6), just slipping by Brett Ostroski (Shavertown, PA) who finished with a 79 (+7).

Win Thomas (Unionville, PA), shot his season low with a 70 (-2) to win the Boys 13-15 division. Win was consistent with matching 35’s including four birdies. In a tie for second Jacob Sokalsky (Garnet Valley, PA) and Jackson Debusschere (Wallingford, PA) both posted matching 75’s (+3), with Jacob winning on a match of cards.  ,

Alyson Rentschler (Hamburg, PA) carded a 94 (+22) winning her first tournament of the year in the Girls 16-18 division, allowing her to gain some momentum heading into the second half of the 2018 season.

Kayla Maletto (Sinking Spring, PA) finished first in the girls 13-15 division with an impressive 89 (+15). Kayla had six straight pars on the back to finish her round with a 43(+7). Closely behind Kayla, Kayla Loninger (Crosswicks, NJ) carded a 94(+20) with a birdie on 7 to finish second. Finishing third, Abigail Lynn shot a 97 (+23).  

In the 12 and under division Nicholas Gross (Downingtown, PA) carded a 34 (-2) to win for his 16^th time on the Philadelphia Junior Tour. Nicholas birdied holes 5, 7 and 8 to finish under par for the day. In second place, Michael Maslanka (Taylor, PA) finished with a 41 (+5), and in a match of cards Rhianna Gooneratne edged out Tyler Debusschere to finish third with a 45 (+9), even though Tyler carded an eagle 2 on the 200 yard, par 4 third hole, it wasn’t enough to take home the third place medal.
