Wernersville, PA – Periodic rain couldn’t stop 70 Philadelphia Junior Tour competitors from taking to the course at Galen Hall Golf Club on Saturday, April 22.  Galen Hall Golf Club is a par 72 6,291/5,987/5,479 yard course that features the “Moat Hole”, which some golf historians believe is the first island green ever created. 

Carson Bacha (York, PA) fired a 71 (-1) to shoot the low round of the tournament and win the Boys 13-15 Division.  Bacha finished his day strong carding a bogey-free 33 (-2) on the back nine.  Roy Anderson (Chadds Ford, PA) took the Division’s silver medal with a 74 (+2).  The final spot on the podium in the Division went to Morgan Lofland (Paoli, PA) with an 80 (+8).

In the Boys 16-18 Division, Tristan Updegraff (Mohnton, PA) fought through the tough conditions to shoot a smooth 72 (E).  Updegraff got his round started off on the right foot holing out for an eagle on the par 4 no. 3.  Logan Hess (Willow Street, PA) finished the day in second place shooting a 75 (+3).  Third place went to Casey Dao (Elkins Park, PA) after he shot a 78 (+6). 

It was Eden Richmond shooting an 85 (+13) to take home the victory in the Girls 13-15 Division.  Richmond carded 3 birdies on her round, two coming on the front nine and one coming on the back nine.  Grace Babinchak (Hazleton, PA) took second place honors in the Divison with a 95 (+23).  Leah Walter (West Chester, PA) shot a 95 (+23) to take home the Division's bronze medal in her debut on the Philadelphia Junior Tour.

Samantha Fritzinger (Allentown, PA) carded an 87 (+15) to win the Girls 16-18 Division.  Fritzinger played a consistent, steady round of golf that included 7 pars sprinkled throughout her round.  Minjoo Kim (Lansdale, PA) finished the day in second place after she shot a 93 (+21).  Casey Oppenheimer (Conshohocken, PA) shot a 94 (+22) to round out the top three in the Division.

Benjamin Saggers (West Chester, PA) shot a 42 (+5) to take home the gold medal in the 12 & Under Division.  Saggers birdied the par 5 no. 6 on the way to his win.  Finishing just behind Saggers in a tie for second place, each shooting 43 (+6), were Henry Stone (Kennett Square, PA) and Ajeet Bagga (Blue Bell, PA).
